Kingsley Beverages – a case study
Over the past 10 years, Kingsley Beverages has gained a reputation as a premium soft drinks brand, with strong markets in Africa and the Middle East. In 2016, the group created its European branch, with the establishment of Kingsley Beverage Limited in the UK.
As a long-standing client of Pastel South Africa, the Managing Director felt confident that Pastel UK & Ireland would be able to support the growth and development of the business in Europe.
Kingsley Beverages sought one system that did everything. Following a consultation with our experienced business analysts, they decided Sage Evolution 200 would be the best solution to help them:
- Automate purchase orders from the South Africa branch
- Track inventories and distribution channels
- Manage fixed assets and depreciation costs
- Provide real-time data to mobile salespeople
As a new branch of the business, Kingsley Beverage UK needed a solution that could scale with its needs. Initially, they needed a system that would minimise manual work on spreadsheets for functions like purchase orders and asset management during the office set-up.
For phase one of the business development, the core system provided adequate support, complemented by a fixed asset module that would automatically integrate depreciations into the general ledger.
There are also plans to take advantage of the mobile app, allowing the sales team to access real-time inventories and prices on their tablets when dealing with prospects face to face.
In 2018, production from the new Kingsley Beverage UK plant will come onstream. At this point the company will seek to add-on new modules, to create a fully integrated system for all business operations.
